Strategic Partner Manager, Mobile/Distribution (OEM) - Seoul
This position can be based in Seoul, South Korea or Taiwan.
The area: Search Services and Distribution Partnerships
Google's Search Services and Distribution team plays a critical role in ensuring the continued growth of our company as well as that of our many partners; in fact, we drive a substantial portion of Google's revenue by making the company's core consumer products available to our partners. We collaborate with a variety of internal business departments, prospecting and negotiating new partnership deals or managing, growing and enhancing our existing ones. Our mission is to consistently meet our partners' Internet software and service needs by creatively and strategically leveraging Google's innovative search, applications, advertising and media platforms.
The role: Strategic Partner Manager, Mobile/Distribution (OEM)
In this role, you will develop and manage mobile distribution partnerships with global OEM partners. You have worked at or with a mobile handset maker, PC manufacturer, or consumer electronics company, ideally in a business development, account management, or new initiative development role. You will focus on partnerships in JAPAC but primarily in Korea and Taiwan.
Responsibilities:
- Manage existing partnerships and achieve ambitious goals with those partners.
- Maintain executive-level relationships and manage all the contractual terms of the partnership.
- Identify, qualify, and upsell new opportunities for Google products.
- Lead virtual teams spread across various geographies working in a fast-paced but rewarding environment.
Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent with a strong academic record. MBA or JD a plus.
- At least 8 years of experience, preferably in the mobile industry or the consumer electronics industry.
- Passion for technology and a visionary ability to identify new opportunities.
- Proven track record of strategic account management or business development experience.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills regarding contractual, technical, and financial issues with partners.
- Experience developing and delivering against strategic account plans.
- Excellent partner communication skills and presentation abilities.
